Page 159 of 365: ’12’ ‘Personal’ Questions Tag

Uncategorized

Hello!

I’m not feeling very well today so I don’t have the brain power to think of something really intellectual to write about, so I thought I’d have a look for some tag questions, because I really enjoy writing tag post things! (but I don’t know anyone to tag them, I need some blogging friends!)

I was going to answer a tag called ‘The British Tag’ but I realised I don’t fit as many British stereotypes as I thought I did, despite a bunch of people on tumblr telling me my accent is ‘cute’ and ‘so English’.

So I found a tag called the ’12’ ‘Personal’ Questions tag, which contains 24 questions, none of which are particularly personal, but they’re interesting questions that I don’t think I’ve answered before so let’s do it!

1. Do you have a middle name?
Yes, Ann. Not particularly thrilling but my initials do spell SAL. Don’t get too excited.

2. What was your favourite subject in school?
Firstly I have to acknowledge how exciting it is that I don’t have to change the past tense because I’m not in school anymore! But I loved English, drama and music. I wish I’d carried on the performance subjects at A Level but I’m kind of glad I didn’t because I don’t think I’d have been very good at them.

3. What’s your favourite drink?
Alcoholic, strawberry and lime cider or a variation thereof, generally, coca cola is my addiction. I’m painfully addicted.

4. Favourite song at the moment?
Either ‘This Is Why’ by Hey Violet or the new song 5SOS have been playing on tour ‘Permanent Vacation’ – I’ve been singing both non-stop and I don’t really know the words to either song, if I’m honest!

5. What would you name your children?
I have a list of names of things I like on my phone (this includes people names and potential band/book names) but I end up using a lot of them on my characters – I love Jack but he is the protagonist in my book.

6. Do you participate in any sports?
I dance three classes a week, I try to ‘go for a run’ every day (I’m working on being able to run for more than three minutes) and I’m doing a 30 Day Ab Challenge this month. I want to join a sports club if I go to uni in September too – I’m trying to be healthier!

7. Favourite book?
The Perks of Being A Wallflower – Steven Chbosky

8. Favourite colour?
Blue, I love how many different shades there are.

9. Favourite animal?
Elephants – I’ve been obsessed with them since I was a child and I got to see some up really close when I went on Safari in Tanzania. It’s been a dream of mine for a very long time to work in an elephant sanctuary at some point.

10. Favourite perfume?
I’m not really into perfumes and smells too much, but I have a Monsoon perfume that smells amazing and I love Hollister sprays but I can’t afford them.

11. Favourite holiday?
I went on holiday to Lanzarote with my family when I was 13 and we went to the hotel my parents met at in 1992 (I think?) but I can’t leave my charity trip to Tanzania in 2013 unsaid – that was such an indescribable month.

12. Have you graduated high school?
We don’t have ‘high school’ graduation in the UK – I have left secondary school but we don’t have an official graduation ceremony or anything. Yes, I did finish school though.

13. Have you been out of the country?
Yes! When I was really young I went on a couple of family holidays to Menorca but then we didn’t go abroad again till Lanzarote, I went on a school history trip to Belgium and I’ve been to Tanzania, that’s it. I want to travel everywhere, I love travelling.

14. Do you speak any other languages?
I have an A in GCSE French so I could probably maintain a very basic conversation in broken French but no, unfortunately I can’t speak any other languages. I wish I could though!

15. Do you have any siblings?
One sister, who is precious and I will protect her with my life and she and my mum are my best friends.

16. What’s your favourite store?
Assuming this means clothes, I think I spend the most in Primark but I wish I was punk/grunge/not poor enough to pull off some of the cooler shops. I’m not very good at shopping but somehow I always spend all of my money? I have an amazing t-shirt collection.

17. Favourite restaurant?
Pizza express I think, I don’t know I’m a really picky eater so anywhere that sells pretty basic, kind of bland food!

18. Did you like school?
I loved learning and I got on well with 99% of my teachers but I was very much ready to leave when I did.

19. Favourite YouTubers?
Right now, Sprinkle of Glitter, Jack Howard, the Sacconejolys and Daniel J Layton.

20. Favourite movie?
I always say ‘The Social Network’ but I don’t really know – I also love ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’ film and the Zac Efron film ‘The Lucky One’ was beautiful, that was the film that really introduced me to beautiful cinematography and the art of film making and I considered studying film for a little bit, but I’ve not seen and don’t know enough about film to critique them.

21. Favourite TV show?
Doctor Who, but I’m loving quiz shows The Chase and Pointless right now, also a big fan of Friends and Orange Is The New Black!

22. PC or Mac?
I have a PC, but I absolutely adore Apple computers and want one with all my heart (my purse doesn’t want me to have one though).

23. What phone do you have?
An almost-two-year-old iPhone 5, that doesn’t text properly, turns itself on all the time, always asks me if I want to ‘Slide to turn off’ when I’ve not touched anything and doesn’t have working 3G in my home town (EE – fix the god damn signal tower!). Hopefully getting an iPhone 6 when the next gen iPhone 6 comes out in September and the original iPhone 6 is cheaper! My hands are too big for an iPhone 5 now.

24. How tall are you?
5’10” or 178cm. I only know it in centimeters because I looked it up when I was buying my Cookie Monster onesie.

There we go! A tag that neither had 12 questions or was very personal! I like answering questions like that, maybe it’s just my overwhelming vanity seeing the light but maybe it’s just a slightly easier blog post to write than having to come up with it all on my own (I’m such a lazy blogger).

Thank you for reading,

Sophie xx
