Hello!

I got my hair highlighted again today and I love it so, so much!

I first had it highlighted on the same day I got my first tattoo (hey, look, self promoting the blog post I wrote about it at the time!) but it had faded a bit and my hair was still majoritively brown (apparently, ginger) and I wanted it to be blonder so, as I’ve been so stressed about my exams and my Year 13 Prom’s coming up pretty soon, my mum let me have my hair dyed again in compromise for not dying it blue.

I’m doing that in August.

Whenever I get my hair dyed, my hairdresser asks if I wants her to straighten my hair and I always say yes because whenever I straighten my hair it’s never as good as when I get it done at the hairdressers and I love it. My hair dresser, right at the end of my appointment today, just sighed and smiled and said ‘I love doing your hair’ and I replied with ‘I love it when you do my hair’ because I adore getting my hair done – I love people playing with my hair and I’ve very seriously considered looking into hair modelling because it’s an excuse to get people to play with my hair.

I don’t think it’s a real job and I’m definitely not model material, but if anyone wants to hit me up, I have like okay hair and I’ll bring cookies or something.

To be honest, I’m somewhat addicted to dying my hair – when I get back from Ecuador and Summer in the City in August, I’m going to dye my hair blue (I’m so excited it’s not even funny) and then if I get a bit panicky about going to uni with blue hair I’ve got a box of dark brown dye that I can use to cover it.

I love my hair and I love changing it – I’m not very good at dealing with change in real life, so being able to control my own body is a good constant for me.

And I’ve also just realised how pale I look in those selfies, dear lord.
