After Christmas, my lecturer and FMP tutor Kevin asked if I’d want to help out on the applicant days that were coming up at Solent and I was more than happy to help! I helped run a variety of activities including reading bulletins in the radio studios, reading a TV bulletin and a writing activity to get to know each applicant a bit more and give them a taste of what studying journalism at Solent is like. Being asked to help out and speaking to prospective students is something I’ve really enjoyed doing – being a representative for my course (even though I was technically promoting a newer version of my course, not actually my course) is something I’m proud to say I was a part of. Although my journey at Solent has drawn to a close, I’m really proud of my time there and I think the course and the university are genuinely brilliant. It’s been a wonderful three years and good luck to anyone starting their journey at Solent this year!
