When I was at BBC Three on work experience, I had a long conversation with another girl who was also on work experience with about how we didn’t feel like we were ‘lucky’ to be there, but we had earned it. Luck strikes all of us – I was lucky to win free pizza on twitter the toher day, I was lucky I didn’t rain when I went out without a jacket on this morning, but working my ass off on an application and achieving a work experience placement wasn’t luck. I’d say that no opportunity that benefit’s someone’s career is luck – they took the opportunity and they worked for it and it’s deserved. It’s a little click baity, but I felt like the contents of this video really needed to be said.
