When I first heard Ed Sheeran’s song ‘Supermarket Flowers’ (about the passing of his nan), I didn’t imagine I’d be able to fully empathise with it so soon. Ironically, within a week my beloved nanny had passed away. I knew I had to make this video as my way of commemorating her – I’d been making YouTube videos for approaching four years and I knew I could make something that really celebrated her life in such a dark time. I learnt a lot about grief at the end of my second year and I’m proud of the way I channelled it into something more creative.
