On my last Open Day at Solent University we tried something new – doing live bulletins throughut the day to show prospective students what journalism at Solent is like. I was the presenting anchor down in the newsroom and we had a live correspondent over in the new building, the Spark, for short interviews as well as to show off the LiveU kit. It was a bittersweet day as we got to try this new approach to selling the course on Open Days but it was also the last Open Day I would work! I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with such a lovely team and seeing my FMP tutor for one of the last times.
