Before I moved to uni, I was taking classes in ballet, tap, modern and hip hop and taking every opportunity I could to dance. So when a spare ticket for the ‘Can You Dance?’ convention to watch my dance school’s performance team take part in work shops and compete cropped up I couldn’t turn it down. I decided I was going to take my camera to further work on my own photography skills (at this point I was still untrained and completely self taught) – I love taking photos of dance and I’m currently looking into opportunities to do this again.
