Hello!

I love make up, I’m not very good at it and I can’t afford to buy it regularly but I do love make up, particularly lipsticks. A good lipstick or even just a bright lipstick can distract from all other very average looking make up.

So I thought I’d collate a list of my favourite lipsticks at the moment, maybe I’ll do an update in the future – let me know if you’d want that!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Blushed 420 – I picked this up ages ago as you can probably tell from how deformed it is, but this is my staple. It’s not a very bright colour, but it makes me feel like a more functioning human being and I think it’s the most shimmery of all the colours I’ve got listed here.

Maybelline Colour Sensational 630 Velvet Beige / 547 Pleasure Me Red – these two smell glorious, they’re so nice to apply and they’re gorgeous colours. The packaging is gorgeous and the colours on the website don’t look too accurate I don’t think but I’ve done a swatch of all the colours featured that I will post at the end!

NYX Tea Rose – my sister bought me this for Christmas for the sole reason that Carrie Fletcher put it in a favourites video and loved it so she bought it for me too. It’s a gorgeous subtle pink and I love it – I’m not a massive fan of a pink lip but it edges more towards the nude side than the pink side and it’s just gorgeous. The packaging is disgusting because I put it in my pockets and twiddled with it and it got all gunked up. I apologise.

NYX liquid suede cherry skies / kitten heels – my favourite liquid lipsticks ever – easy to apply, lasts for so long, not drying at all, the way I described these lipsticks when I was planning this blog post was that ‘they make me feel like seduction on legs’ and I feel like this is pretty accurate. The colours are pretty intense but for these kind of colours it really works.

I have a NYX lingerie matte nude colour but I find it’s like wearing paper as a lipstick – it’s a lovely colour but very drying so I often where one of my aforementioned more moisturising lipsticks on top to make it more comfortable to wear.

I definitely didn’t need to include that but it made me feel more like I know something about anything.
