Hello!
Today was another ticket day (this has happened a lot more at uni than I thought it would) – I was up a 9am to try and get tickets to see Busted with my friends from home Katy and Aimee.
Almost unsurprisingly, we were unsuccessful, but later today Katy found some decent seats at Wembley and we’re going to see Busted!
I explained on Wednesday how much I love Busted and how long I’ve loved them for and how much they shaped my childhood and next year I’m actually going to get to see them live and they’re probably going to release a new album before then and all my childhood dreams are coming true and I’m so excited that this paragraph is all one sentence long.
It’s a very long sentence.
What I said on our group chat to summarise my feelings was actually a quote from Harry Potter. A quote from my favourite instalment of Harry Potter – The Prisoner of Azkaban – from a certain Sirius Black who says:
“I did my waiting! Twelve years of it!”
And if that doesn’t accurately sum up my feelings for Busted I don’t know what does. I remember getting a lot of Busted themed Christmas presents when I was 7 years old and here we are, aged 19, hoping to get a lot of Busted themed presents this Christmas in preparation for this concert.
That and I’ll probably ask for spare SD cards and thermal clothing for when I go to New York in January. But that’s beyond the point.
I’m very excited about Busted. And New York. And next year in general. Everything is quite exciting right now. And I get to go shopping with my mum and sister tomorrow – does it get more exciting than that?
Thank you for reading,
Sophie xx
