Hello!

I loved Busted so much when I was a kid – them and S Club 7 were my first favourite bands, I was heartbroken when they split up. I remember writing a letter that started ‘today is a sad day’ when I found out Busted had split up. i’ve never seen them live, they’d only released two albums and I adored Thunderbirds entirely because their song was in the credits.

Thunderbirds Are Go is a timeless song and I don’t believe you if you think otherwise.

So when I’m scrolling through Facebook this morning and I see that Busted are reuniting and are doing a tour next year, I have to refrain from jumping up and down with pure thrill.

Two of my friends from home have already messaged me about getting tickets on Friday and planned a shopping day around the show. I’m so excited to see my favourite childhood band live, this is literally twelve years in the making!

What made me even more excited a few hours later was when I realised that a new tour means a new album with new songs to go with all the old classics. New music makes for a happy Sophie!

I know what I’ll be listening to when I’m on the train to Basingstoke later with Lucas!

The announcement almost makes the 9am start I’m dreading tomorrow more bearable. Almost.

I thought seeing McBusted earlier this year was the closest I was going to get the Busted – James and Matt were right there, they played all the best Busted songs plus McFly (another childhood favourite, but not the first y’know? There’s a story here, I’ll save it for another day!) but this is going to blow it out of the water.

McBusted is currently my favourite concert to date – we’ll see whether Busted can rival it!
