Hello!

I’m not sure exactly how the time zones work but I might be in Ecuador as you read this.

I went to school at 1am this morning to get a coach to the airport to get a 9 hour plane to Houston, Texas and then a six hour flight to Quito. I’m going to be 5 or 6 hours behind and completely without internet for a month – until I return at 7am on August 12th.

Don’t you worry about this blogging project – I’ve been pre-writing posts since the end of June (as I write this very post it’s July 2nd!) and I’ve filmed 8 videos to go up while I’m gone! My videos will go up at 7pm BST on Wednesdays and Sundays and tweets will automatically be posted (@SophieALuckett).

My blog posts will go up at 8pm BST every day and I’ve scheduled posts to go on my tumblr – I don’t think you can schedule tweets and if you can I don’t know how! 

I’m also going to teach my mum how to use blogger – when I went to Tanzania, the Camp Tanzania twitter posted pictures and updates of us. Assuming the Camp Ecuador twitter is the same, my mum wants to post updates on how I’m doing so I guess I won’t be completely absent!

As for my 5SOS tumblr, I’ve schedules a queue including a few pieces of writing and my best friend Nina (secondhandsleep/hearteyesmikey on tumblr) is going to keep an eye on my messages and everything for me.

I am nervous to be completely absent from the internet for a month – I don’t want to lose everything I’ve worked for but it’s likely to be the trip of a lifetime.

I can’t wait to tell you all about it when I get back!
