Hello!
Online I see a lot of these monthly workout regimes and I saw this ab challenge one and then I did it.
Thinking now, I don’t know why I decided to do it but although I’ve rearranged a few of the rest days, I’ve kept up with it and I’m up to date at the moment. By the time this post goes up I will have finished it completely!
The reason I use some kind of ominous tweets of mine as the header photo (side note: if you don’t follow me on twitter, you should @SophieALuckett for daily hilarity and life updates) is that working out has become a sort of routine for me.
I don’t do it at the same time every day, but I start with getting changed into something appropriate to work out in and then I take the highlighter that I have in my room and I cross off the day on the print out I have in my room (then I can’t back out of not doing it because I already ticked it off). Then I write one of these pretentious tweets – the first number is the number of sit ups, then the number of crunches, the number of leg raises and how long I have to do the plank.
It is pretentious and I’m aware of that, but it’s my way of marking off that I’ve done it. Also, it looks kind of ominous and let’s be honest, I am pretentious. It’s my aesthetic, as the tumblr people would say.
Can we just acknowledge that yesterday I did 125 sit ups, 200 crunches, 65 leg raises and a 120 second plank. You could go and favourite my ‘125 / 200 / 65 / 120’ tweet if you like! Aah, it’s not a Sophie Counts Clouds blog post if there’s no shameless self promotion!
Thank you for reading,
Sophie xx
