Hello!

Today’s is my Nanny’s birthday so I thought I’d make a blog post about her because she’s my favourite nanny and I’m her favourite granddaughter.

Sometime’s she extends my title and calls me her ‘Favourite Granddaughter Called Sophie’ but we know I’m her favourite really. Why wouldn’t I be her favourite? I’m just joking, my cousins are great.

My nan is one of my favourite people in the whole world – she’s led such an interesting life and she’s such a strong woman and I can talk to her about literally anything. She understands (most) of the internet stuff – she has Facebook and sometimes she watches my YouTube videos and she read my book when I gave her one of the physical copies I had and she read it cover to cover even when I told her she probably wouldn’t enjoy it that much (but she said she did).

Last October my nan moved into a village really close to my town and since then I’ve seen her almost every week for coffee or cake at her house or just hanging out. I don’t have the words for how much I love my nan and how happy I am that she lives near us now.

Today I have to go back to school to drop off all the textbooks I borrowed but that’s just checking off another day till I don’t have to go back to school ever again and then I’m walking into town to meet my nan and give her a few presents and say happy birthday in person.

My mum, my sister and I are taking her shopping on Friday for a proper day out, but today is just a coffee on us!
