Hello!

In yesterday’s post, I talked about a band I’d found called New City Kings and I expected it to be vaguely successful I guess – my tumblr followers are interested in bands like 5 Seconds of Summer and similar genres and a few people messaged and tweeted me saying they’d found a new favourite band in New City Kings and that made me really happy.

What made me even happier was when the band themselves quoted my tweet about the blog post asking if I was free to go any of their tour dates because they wanted to meet me! My stomach is doing flips just thinking about it because it was too short notice and I live in the middle of nowhere so there was no where feasible I could go. We tweeted a few times, they favourited and retweeted a bunch of my tweets and I asked them if we could be friends and they said yes, their drummer Ben Nyari favourited a bunch of my tweets and tweeted me too. 

If they need someone to make YouTube videos and manage their online content, I finish all my exams in 41 days (not that I’m counting) and I’m unemployed and poor. Just saying.

But that got me thinking – I love bands and music and I love finding new bands and music. I also have a fairly broad reach in that I can publicise these bands to almost 20,000 people on tumblr (note the almost, go follow 5sos-au-imagines if you’re interested in 5SOS and witty banter blogging!) which is a lot of exposure.

So this is my way of saying – if you know of, are a fan of or maybe even are in a band, send me a message on twitter, tumblr, leave me a comment on here, contact me in any way you feel appropriate and I’ll check them out and maybe write about them if I like them!

I am not above bribery – if there’s free merch or concerts involved, I’m easily convinced.

I’m joking. Mostly. I quite like free music things. Actually, just free things.
