Hello friends!
I know I made a post on Sprinkle of Glitter and I suppose this is along the same lines but for a very different reason. I wrote about Louise because it was her 5 Year Anniversary on YouTube and it was my ‘excuse’ (I suppose) to talk about how highly I think of her. Today, I’m writing about the Sacconejoly’s for a very different reason.
I had an awful morning – I only went into school for two hours because I got so upset and the only thing I’m going to say is that I have a truly horrible maths teacher – I felt awful and I came home from school early and napped on my bed whilst watching YouTube and scrolling through twitter.
I was also texting my mum, and she sent me this message.
Of course I thought this was very sweet – clearly my mum listens when I ramble about this adorable family I watch on YouTube and she knows how happy they make me. This led me to write this tweet.
Which Jonathan Sacconejoly of the ‘Sacconejolys’ retweeted almost instantly. I must have just caught it at the moment when he’d refreshed his page or something because it was within a minute that he retweeted. Instantly I was flooded with notifications of other people retweeting and favouriting the tweet (at present over 160 people have favourited it) and I was over the moon.
I tweeted Jonathan personally, thanking him for retweeting and saying I was up for a collab if he was (because I’m a cheeky little shit).
And he replied.
Is he not the sweetest man you’ve ever met?! I mean, I haven’t met him and surprisingly enough he ignored the bit about collaborating but he took time out of his day to hope I felt better? Again, he replied almost instantly and it made me so happy.
But that’s not even the end. Because Jonathan had retweeted my post that started with ‘had an awful morning at school’, four or five of the Sacconejolys twitter friends tweeted me to make sure I was okay and to wish me well. I felt completely overwhelmed with love and affection and it was all because of an Irish family in London.
I don’t know if Jonathan and Anna are aware of the impact their daily videos have on so many people but it means that their little family has created this amazing family online and today, I couldn’t have been more grateful for it.
I imagine Jonathan doesn’t think of it as more of a tweet, he will have completely forgotten who I am 12 hours later but I hope he’s aware of the happiness he and his beautiful family can bring to people, and I hope they keep doing it for a long time to come.
I’ll leave links to their YouTube channels and Anna’s blog below and as always the link to my YouTube channel is below too.
Thanks for reading,
Sophie xx
